Avon River Champions have collated all the information currently available for the Environment Agency (2023) Catchment Explorer and the Rivers Trust Sewage Maps to help our catchment communities in South Hams to explore the extent of the pollution in our rivers. We propose River Water Quality Groups as a means to develop a collaborative river catchment plan that addresses pollution in neighbouring sections of our rivers and estuaries.

Avon River Champions offer a pioneering approach to river restoration by proactively engaging farmers in the design of our BLUEprint funding bids for capital investments in their businesses which will reduce the risk of agricultural pollution.
